UPDATE:
Sorry folks, but in the last 24 hours the flow numbers have gone up, not down, putting us far in excess of flood numbers on this section of the Bow. We will unfortunately have to cancel this run. We will have another run scheduled for next Thursday at or around the same time, I hope to see you all there.
Thursday night Ghost
This is a run for paddlers new to whitewater. We’ll be running a section of the Bow River from the Ghost Dam to the Wild Cat Gas Plant. Join us for a fun evening on the river.
Meet at the Ghost Dam put in at 6:00pm, once everyone has arrived and is ready we will shuttle cars down to the Wild Cat Gas Plant and get on the river.
Requirements:

- You need to have taken an intro to whitewater course or have comparable experience. If this is not yet the case, please message us and we can discuss further!
- You must be an active 2022 member of Paddle Junkies to sign up (if you’re having issues signing up for the event, please ensure that you are signed into the website and have paid your 2022 membership fees. If it still doesn’t work, please message us!)
- Bring your own gear – your boat, PFD, helmet, and paddle.
- Also, it’s actually required to carry a whistle and rope on each watercraft (see the section on Water Safety Kits in the link), so if you don’t have those yet, consider purchasing them very soon.

Hey folks – we’re keeping a keen eye on the water levels for this run. The rains have pushed us above the flood limit right now, so we want the levels to come down to something more reasonable. Stay tuned, we’ll have an update tonight. It’s been a weird rain year.
Well unfortunately for our run, the numbers are actually going up and not down. so unfortunately this trip to the Ghost has been cancelled. We’ll have a run up next week in the same time slot, looking forward to seeing you then.
