Hey, The old trail up from the river appears to be open again ! Therefore, It’s back to our old standby practice run. Rain or shine we’ll paddle the Bow river from the TransAlta Ghost dam down to the Wildcat gas plant. At the current river flows the river should be pretty chill so an excellent opportunity for beginners to hone their skills.
Lets meet at the Ghost Dam at 6:00 pm where we’ll drop our equipment and shuttle to the gas plant.
Ensure that you have all your gear with you including boats, paddles, PFD’s, footwear, helmets, spray skirts, and throw bags. Also note that the put in and take out require hiking down/up from the river.
This is a Class I /II river section and we require that you have taken an introduction to whitewater course prior to signing up.
