We’ll be running a section of the Ghost River from the Waiparous to the Ghost Reservoir. Join us for a fun evening on the river. This is a class 2 run. Please be aware that after we finish the river there is still 2.5-3km flat water paddle on Ghost Reservoir to take out.
Meet at the “Ghost Reservoir Provincial Recreation Area” NORTH side at 6:00pm. once everyone has arrived and is ready we will shuttle cars to the Waiparous and get on the river.
Requirements:

- You have to already know how to do a basic Eddy Turns on class 2 water. There will be a fallen tree on the run that we need to portage and tight corners with wall to be avoided.
- You must be an active 2022 member of Paddle Junkies to sign up (if you’re having issues signing up for the event, please ensure that you are signed into the website and have paid your 2022 membership fees. If it still doesn’t work, please message us!)
- Bring your own gear – your boat with two functional flotation bags, PFD, helmet, and paddle.
- Also, it’s actually required to carry a whistle and rope on each watercraft (see the section on Water Safety Kits in the link), so if you don’t have those yet, consider purchasing them very soon.
