Registration for the trip is now closed.
We are going to the beautiful Bull River, BC. We’ll be running a class 2+ section during the long weekend.
Bull River is around a 4-hour drive from Calgary. It’s overnight trip – we will meet there around noon on Saturday and leave Sunday late afternoon. There is a nice free Crown land campsite next to the river. All details will be provided by email before the trip.
Please check the requirements before signing up. Message us if you have any questions regarding this trip.
Official club trips will be on the class 2+ section only. However, if you are a solid class 3 paddler with a good roll, there is also a very nice class 3 section.
Requirements:
-
- It’s a long drive and to make that trip worth for you, you should be pretty solid in class 2 environment already (like eg. Harvie Passage, Bow river ghost dam section) and start looking for progression into class 3. You have to be comfortable doing eddy turns, ferry in class 2 moving water and easy maneuvering around rocks. If this is not yet the case, please message us and we can discuss further!
- You must be an active 2024 member of Paddle Junkies to sign up
- Bring your own gear – your boat with two float bags, PFD, helmet, spray skirt, paddle, throwbag. All equipment, including throwbag is required.
