Are you excited about Kanfest but not yet comfortable on the Upper Kannaskis ? Well……..PJ’s is leading a beginner run on the Lower Kan on the Saturday of Kanfest. This run is intended for beginner/intermediate paddlers that want to work on basic skills but don’t yet feel confident river running on their own.
We’ll meet at the Canoe Meadows Cookhouse at 11:00 am sharp. After arranging to shuttle most of the vehicles to the Seebe Dam parking lot we’ll hit the water just below the race course or 40 Boat Eddy.
Ensure that you have all your gear with you including boat, paddle, PFD, proper footwear, helmet, spray skirt, and throw bag. We do not have spare equipment for borrow or rent.
You must be an active 2022 PJ member to sign up for this event on our website, or you need to be a registered Kanfest participant to sign up on Saturday.
This is a Class II river section and we require that you have taken an introduction to whitewater course ( or equivalent ) prior to signing up. This may require you to demonstrate a wet exit.
