We’ll be running a section of the Elbow River from the Elbow River Launch to the Paddy Flat. Join us for a fun evening on the river. This is a run for paddlers that already have some experience in running class 2 rivers.
Meet at the “Elbow River Launch – Provincial Recreation Area” put in at 6:00pm, once everyone has arrived and is ready we will shuttle cars down to the Paddy Flat and get on the river.
Requirements:

- It’s Class 2+ run and maneuvering will be required to avoid hazards. You have to already know how to do a basic Eddy Turns and Ferry on class 2 water (like Harvie Passage) to participate. These skills will be checked right after we start the run. If you are not sure if you are ready, please message us and we can discuss further!
- You must be an active 2022 member of Paddle Junkies to sign up (if you’re having issues signing up for the event, please ensure that you are signed into the website and have paid your 2022 membership fees. If it still doesn’t work, please message us!)
- Bring your own gear – your boat with two functional flotation bags, PFD, helmet, and paddle.
- Also, it’s actually required to carry a whistle and rope on each watercraft (see the section on Water Safety Kits in the link), so if you don’t have those yet, consider purchasing them very soon.
