The last week of June is going to be a scorcher !   Why not cool down and work on your beginner paddling skills at the same time ?    Rain or shine PJ’s will be leading a Lower Kananaskis run from Canoe Meadows down to Seebe.      This run is intended for beginner/intermediate paddlers that want to work on basic skills and don’t feel confident river running on their own.

We’ll meet at Canoe Meadows at 6:00 pm sharp.   We’ll drop our equipment and shuttle most of the vehicles to the Seebe Dam parking lot.   After some skills practice at 40 boat eddy we’ll head down river and take out around 8:30 to 9  pm.  While provincial restrictions are scheduled to open up on July 1st,  we will still be masking up in order to shuttle vehicles.  Please make sure you have a mask for this purpose in a dry bag.

Ensure that you have all your gear with you including boat, paddle, PFD, proper footwear, helmet, spray skirt, and throw bag.  We do not have spare equipment for borrow or rent.

You must be an active 2021 PJ’s member to sign up.  If not, please allow a couple of days for processing a new membership.

You are responsible to bring your own boat, pfd, helmet, and paddle. We do not have gear available to borrow.

This is a Class II river section and we require that you have taken an introduction to whitewater course ( or equivalent ) prior to signing up.   This may require you to demonstrate a wet exit.
