Summer continues ! Let’s squeeze in one more Ghost run while the water levels are good. Rain or shine we’ll paddle the Bow river from the TransAlta Ghost dam down to the Wildcat gas plant. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have a reduced ratio of paddlers to leaders.
Please meet at the Ghost Dam access gate prior to 6:00 pm where we’ll drop our equipment and shuttle to the gas plant. Note that the evenings are getting shorter and we’ll leave at 6 pm sharp. As per AWA guidelines, and in consideration of your fellow paddlers, please bring a dry mask to wear after the run to shuttle.
Ensure that you have all your gear with you including boats, paddles, PFD’s, footwear, helmets, spray skirts, and throw bags. Also note that the put in and take out require hiking down/up from the river.
This is a Class II river section and we require that you have taken an introduction to whitewater course prior to signing up.
