2020-07-23 Return to the Ghost !!!!

Come out to Paddle Junkies first river run of 2020 !!!     Rain or shine we’ll paddle the Bow river from the TransAlta Ghost dam down to the Wildcat gas plant.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have a reduced ratio of paddlers to leaders.  Spots should be for beginner paddlers that don’t feel confident river running on their own.

Please meet at the Ghost Dam at 6:00 pm where we’ll drop our equipment and shuttle to the gas plant.   As per AWA guidelines, and in consideration of your fellow paddlers,  please bring a dry mask to wear during the shuttle.

Ensure that you have all your gear with you including boats, paddles, PFD’s, footwear, helmets, spray skirts, and throw bags.   Also note that the put in and take out require hiking down/up from the river.

This is a Class II river section and we require that you have taken an introduction to whitewater course prior to signing up.
