Hey everyone!
At the end of last year, we sent out a survey and asked some questions about what our club can do for our members, and one of the overwhelming choices was to provide some Class 3 opportunities for strong Class 2 paddlers who are looking to do a bit more.
So, we’re put together a couple of runs with our friends at Aquabatics, and this will be the very first. For this run, we keep it simple: we’re going to run down the hard side of Harvies and we want you to be there! They’re providing the trip leaders, and we’re providing the fun!
This is a kayakers only run. We will meeting in the parking lot at Harvie’s Passage at 6:00PM for orientation and a safety briefing and then we’ll hit the water. You must be a current Paddle Junkies 2023 member to attend. You should be comfortable in Class 2 and looking to try some class 3, with a solid flatwater and with the confidence to try it in moving water. You should also have all the necessary gear for paddling – boat/raft/SUP, paddle, PFD, helmet. etc.
One last thing: there is a cost for the trip, where we’re happy to pick up a good chunk of the tab but asking the attendees to chip in $25 for a fun Class 3 night!
