We’ll be running a flat water beginner skills session.  It’s not a course, so there will be no structure of what we will do that evening.  Depends of the group we could working on: tilt stability and edge transition, sweep, power, draw strokes, eddy turns, ferry, upstream turns, bracing, open and close-faced bow draws…

Meet at the “Bowness Park” put in at 6:30pm. I will be waiting near parking – look for green WW kayak next to the river.

Requirements:

    • No experience required. Ideal for Class 2 paddlers.
    • You must be an active 2022 member of Paddle Junkies to sign up (if you’re having issues signing up for the event, please ensure that you are signed into the website and have paid your 2022 membership fees. If it still doesn’t work, please message us!)
    • Bring your own gear – your boat with two functional flotation bags, PFD, helmet, and paddle.
      • Also, it’s actually required to carry a whistle and rope on each watercraft (see the section on Water Safety Kits in the link), so if you don’t have those yet, consider purchasing them very soon.
