Class 3 PJ Run

Update from Jiri: This run will be Cobble Flats to Elbow Falls.

On this run, we’re going to take you on some Class 3 whitewater with the one and only Jiri Stolarik.

We’ll work on taking your kayaking to the next level – building on your existing skills, adding some new ones, and having a fun and challenging run on a cool river near Calgary. The river chosen will be dependent on flow levels and will be announced closer to the date, but wherever we end up we’ll be meeting at 6:00 pm at our determined locations all within about an hour of Calgary.

If you’re looking at getting some Class 3 whitewater experience with a great group of paddlers, this is the run for you.

Requirements:
– You must be comfortable paddling class 2 with some experience paddling class 3. MUST HAVE A FLAT WATER ROLL. If Jiri has never paddled with you and is unsure, he will test your roll at start of session.

– You must be an active 2022 member of Paddle Junkies to sign up (if you’re having issues signing up for the event, please ensure that you are signed into the website and have paid your 2022 membership fees. If it still doesn’t work, please message us!)

– Everyone must be in river runners, creek boats, or slicy boats, no play boats. All boats must have two functioning float bags, a throw bag, and a whistle on your pfd. If you are missing any required gear you will not be allowed to participate.
