SUMMARY:Start of Summer Ghost Dam Run
DESCRIPTION:Hey PJ's\,  water levels are rising !     What better way t
 o warm up for the season than to paddle the "classic" Ghost run.   This 
 is a run for paddlers new to whitewater who want to work on their basic bo
 at skills before flow rates become more challenging.    We'll be running
  a section of the Bow River from the Ghost Dam to the Wild Cat Gas Plant w
 hich is Class 1 with a couple of Class 2 features.  Join us for a fun eve
 ning on the river.\n\nMeet at the TransAlta Ghost Dam put in ( exit at the
  Cottage Club and drive to the end of the road ) at 6:00pm\, once everyone
  has arrived and is ready we will shuttle cars down to the Wild Cat Gas Pl
 ant and then walk our gear down to the river.\n\nRequirements: \n\n 	\n\n 
 	You need to have taken an intro to whitewater course or have comparable e
 xperience. If this is not yet the case\, please message us and we can disc
 uss it further.\n 	You must be an active 2023 member of Paddle Junkies to 
 sign up (if you’re having issues signing up for the event\, please ensur
 e that you are signed into the website and have paid your 2023 membership 
 fees. If it still doesn't work\, please message us!)\n 	Bring your own gea
 r - your boat\, PFD\, helmet\, and paddle.  Float bags are greatly apprec
 iated.\n\n 	Also\, it's actually required to carry a whistle and rope on e
 ach watercraft (see the section on Water Safety Kits in the link)\, so if 
 you don't have those yet\, consider purchasing them very soon.\n\n\n\n\n
